Enroll Your Business in the Chamber Dollars Program
  • Chamber Dollars work like gift certificates and are designed to encourage support of local businesses.
  • Chamber Dollars checks are redeemable at member businesses.
  • Chamber Dollars are available in any denomination of $25 or less.
  • Businesses who participate in this program may choose to restrict how Chamber Dollars are used in their place of business. You may want to give them another gift receipt from your business for any excess money not used; they can then come back to use your services once again. Or you may chooses to give them any change back in the form of cash.

How does the program work?

 

Accept Chamber Dollars just like any check, which can then be added to your business deposit slip at your local bank. Area banks are very familiar with Chamber Dollars and accept them readily.

 

How do I join?

 

The program requires Chamber of Commerce members to complete an Enrollment Form. Your business name will then appear in the Participating Members Brochure which will accompany the Chamber Dollars gift check. The Chamber Dollars checking account is set up at our local Busey Bank and is an "in and out" account. No profit is made from this program.

 

There is no fee to participate in this program. This is just one of the benefits of being a Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce Member.

 

After completing the form, the Chamber will send your business a Chamber Dollars window sign which indicates that your business accepts and welcomes Chamber Dollars. Be sure to inform your staff of the Chamber Dollar advantage.
